Hey all!
Welcome to my blog! I want to share with you what the Lord has been doing in and through me and my squadmates during my time at training camp! This time at training camp has been so hard, yet so fruitful!!
The first week was so fun and exciting! Pulling into camp with a stomach full of butterflies and a million thoughts and feelings was how I started off training camp. I had heard so many things about how intense it was, I started getting ahead of myself. I started to meet my squad mates and my leaders and the nerves slowly started to go away. After that first night there after worshiping with my parents and sleeping in my tent in the woods of Gainesville, GA, I knew I was supposed to be there. As the week went on, after I said goodbye to my parents, everything became so so real to me. I spent the week in various sessions learning about how wonderful God is. The worship was also so beautiful and was different from other worship I had experienced before in the best way possible!! I was inspired by everyone else around me and how on fire they were for God!
`     The second week was becoming more in depth and preparing us for our various ministries. We did different scenarios that included practicing home visits, losing our checked luggage for the night, and an international market where we had to get our dinner! This week was very helpful in our preparation for the next 9 months! We continued to have different sessions and worship times that helped us to focus on who everything is for, God!!! At the end of the week, all the squads on campus spent time in various places around Gainesville evangelizing to the people there! Our squad went to Kroger and I had a few conversations with the different people! It was so good to pray with people! While this week was so filling spiritually, I became more drained physically. The little sleep and long days was starting to catch up to me. Luckily, I had many people around me to help keep my energy up and to help bring joy in my life!
The third week was spent learning about spiritual warfare, as well as preparing us to leave for our domestic ministries! Our team is going to Macon, Mississippi to do manual labor for the people there! I am so excited to get a peek at what the next 9 months are going to be like!! The weekend has been full of rest and packing to get ready to go to Mississippi! Now, I have changed so much since I was first dropped off on August 31st to now, September 22nd. I feel so confident in what I am about to do and the nerves and doubts I had are gone. I have been changed by the Holy Spirit and am a different person than I was 3 weeks ago!
I can’t wait to see what the domestic ministry holds for me and then I can’t wait for these next 9 months of my life!!
Love you all! God is so good!!
